Tri-annual siren/SUNs test

There will be a Siren/SUNs systems test at approximately 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29. Individuals on campus – particularly those who are outdoors – will hear the siren and everyone should receive a text message. Those who do not receive a text message should contact Lori Parks at Campus Safety (ext. 5567) for further assistance.

Admissions summer open house

There will be an increase in traffic across campus while the College hosts an open house for prospective students and families on Saturday, July 26. Everyone is invited to answer questions, provide directions, or simply say hello to our guests as they explore campus and chart the next four years of their academic journeys

‌Zankel’s SURROUND concert series returns

Zankel Music Center invites the Skidmore community to experience the return of the SURROUND series. Seated onstage around the artist as sunset fills the music center's window wall, audiences share in the quiet magic of listening together. The 2025-26 lineup features Khemist Mayfield, Julie Doiron, Tarta Relena, and Gao Hong. Student admission is free! Visit skidmore.edu/zankel/events for tickets.

 

‘Navigating the Now’ - faculty and staff community space

Employees are invited to come together to process current events, share reflections, and build connections during a weekly community gathering, every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in McCaffery-Wagman Health and Wellness Center’s community room, on the second floor. The Office of Advancement invites the Skidmore community to the "new" with the First Year Experience summer reading (available at the Skidmore Shop). Volunteers are needed to help choose upcoming books and lead future book discussions. For more information, contact Jen Hardy.

‌Through Aug. 20, Bulletin will be distributed only to faculty and staff, as well as students who remain on campus during the summer. It will also continue to be posted online.
